Jimmy came home this weekend (yay!) and every time he would sit at the table to work on his homework Preston would want to sit next to him and do work.
So while Jimmy pinned bugs Preston scooped rice.

Preston really wants to be like his Daddy.

Today was Patrick's first day back at work since Jaxton was born which means Preston has had to fill in helping me out.

Finally cool enough to wear warm winter outfits :D

Patrick showed Preston the magic of the washing machine so now he wants to help & see the washer all the time. He'll even ask to do laundry ("non-nee") and make a "chug a chug a" noise.

We've been busy adjusting from being a family of 3. . .

Preston is in love with his baby brother Jaxton.
We all are really.

Last night was our Halloween party at church.
Preston dressed up as Frankenstein!
He looked SO CUTE!!!

My friend Krissa's mom crocheted him the hat and it worked perfect with his outfit.
We worked all day long on saying "Trick or Treat" (which sounded like tee-tee) and naturally when the time came to say it he didn't say it once.
But it was still a fun time and he got WAY too much candy (which he keeps trying to sneak).

We went to a Pumpkin Patch!
Well actually it was more like a farm with pumpkins displayed on bales of hay, but still super fun.
It was pretty much perfect for little kids.

They had some animals on display, although they were sleeping when we got there since it was dark out, a bouncy balloon, face painting (pass), corn maze (double pass) and a hay maze.
We went in the hay maze and needless to say Preston led us around and out without any problems.

Preston got to go for a ride on the train with his Daddy.
As you can tell he's a very observant driver, couldn't take his eyes off the road for a picture.
As soon as it started to move though he was all about turning that steering wheel as fast as he could!

It was a lot of fun. Especially the glow stick.

And yes, I really am that pregnant and huge.
But not for long :D

And now a sneak peak of Preston's Halloween costume!

This is pretty much all Preston has done today.
I filled up a bucket with water, gave him some spoons, measuring cups, paintbrush, a sponge and he's just been pouring water outside & washing things off.
Of course he has also poured the bucket of water on himself.
And poured some cups of water inside.
And slipped a few times.
But he's happy!

I FINALLY got Preston's baby book all together and ordered from Picaboo!
Today it arrived in the mail & since Preston loves to look at pictures of himself I couldn't wait to show it to him.
As I expected he loved it. We must have looked through it 5 times in a row.

Today Preston helped his Aunt Laura (La-La as he calls her) clean the bathroom.
Such a good "helper".

We're getting things ready around her for the arrival of baby Jaxton.
Of course Preston is right there inspecting everything & trying everything out.
Today he discovered that he can control the swing.
Poor Jax is in for some wild rides I'm sure.

No one should have to go that many days without seeing this face!!

Hey Preston, would it make you happy to go spend the day with your Aunt Carly & see the bunny, Nana, Ginger and the kids while Momma gets some stuff done?

Yes, yes it would.

I love this!
Preston will just sit content by himself pulling out book after book and look at each one.
We love that he is a fan of reading.

Also, it should be noted that today Preston made it through all of Nursery at church by himself without crying or whining. It's the first time that's happened!!

Poor Preston.
He was coming inside from the backyard this afternoon & tripped over the step up and hit his head/face on the kitchen tile.
Gave him his first bloody nose.
Thankfully a popsicle, Veggie Tales sing along and cuddling with his momma seems to have cheered him up some.

We are so so so excited that it's FINALLY starting to cool down around here!

Preston is hilarious.
Today he was playing in his toy kitchen and all of the sudden I start to hear "please. mama." over and over again. He was saying it in a way that I knew he needed help with something and when I went over to see what was up he had his hand stuck down the sink of his kitchen.
He would have had no problem getting it out except he was holding on to a car & refused to let go of it.
Naturally I took pictures before helping him.

When Preston wakes up from his nap in the afternoon he's usually not in the best mood.
Lucky for the both of us a bath usually solves the crankiness.

Today we went to a "Splash and Play" event at the library. They had little buckets set up in the courtyard with different things to play with in water like spoons, paintbrushes, watering cans, spoons and measuring cups. Preston had a great time pouring water out. He was a little unsure of all the other kids there, and it took him about 30 minutes to warm up to the idea that he could play by himself without needing me to be there, but he still had a good time!

Multitasking.
Brushing teeth while washing feet and getting his hair done.
I hear he tried to clean the mirror with his toothbrush too...

I love when Preston does little boy things like turn the slide into a fort & car track.

Today we got out some lace up cards to play with.
It took us about 30 minutes to get 3/4ths of the way done with one before he lost interest.
I'm thinking it'll be a great activity to take to church.

Preston and I made some cookies today.
I showed him how he could look in the oven and watch the cookies bake & he loved that idea!

Preston thought he was so clever "hiding" from me in my closet while I put laundry away!

It's nice to know that even with a big belly I can still cuddle with my Preston.

Betcha wish you had a Go Daddy do-rag too, huh?!

Today we met up with Preston's cousins and Aunt to go to the AJ Public Library.
That place is AMAZING for kids.
We'll be going back.
Preston loved running around the giant castle with the kids & climbing in the throne.
We'll be going back for sure.

Preston discovered where we keep the grapes in the fridge, so now every time I open the fridge he wants to get some grapes out.
I'm ok with it.
It's better then figuring out where the Otter Pops are.
