Fun with a hat :)

And in case you were wondering what his shirt says it reads: "I look like Mom I act like Dad".

In honnor of mine and Patrick's 3 year anniversary today both Preston and Noah put on their "Reynolds" Az Diamondbacks t-shirts!

Twinsies!!!

Preston really likes using a straw to "paint" on things, so I thought that he might like to try out one of those paint with water coloring books.

He took the whole process very seriously.

By the end he had spilled his water twice, soaking the entire paper, and his picture had several holes in it, but he had a great time.

The first few times we went swimming this year Preston was not a fan.
But now that the water is warmer and he has the hang of splashing all those around him he LOVES it!
He'll get in his floatie and kick his feet all around.

This morning we went out to do a little sidewalk chalk.
At first Preston wasn't too sure what to think or what he was suppose to do.
But after i traced his hand & foot he saw what fun it could be.

But then he just wanted to draw on the pillar.
Which was ok.
And as you can see he decided it would be better to wear his sunglasses around his neck rather then on his face.
Which was ok too.

And just for fun:
His hair is awesome.
And long.

Today just for fun we bought a package of balloons and spent the afternoon running around kicking them, throwing them and trying to make them stick to our heads. It was a lot of fun.

I'm proud to report that Preston has finally developed some good eating habits.
Yesterday he ate scrambled eggs (hidden in a breakfast quesadilla), he'll eat veggies as long as he can dip them in ranch (takes about a tablespoon of ranch for 1 cucumber slice) and today he's decided he likes nectarines and apples, as long as he can hold them and eat them whole, not in slices.
I've found that if I take a picture of him eating the food and then show it to him he'll mimic the action and eat more. Needless to say I now have a lot of pictures on my phone of him eating.

Remember these sunglasses from last year?! They're making a comeback.

And just because

Tonight we had Patrick's birthday dinner at his moms, aka Nana's house.
Preston loves his Nana A LOT!

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Tonight we went to the Diamondbacks game.
We had some hotdogs, Preston stole a sip of Sierra Mist when we weren't looking, we people watched, we cheered, and we saw an enormous Gonzo:

It's Thursday. And in this house that only means one thing - Steve's Krazy Sub day!!
It's one of the few times that Preston will scarf down ham, turkey or whatever kind of lunch meat we decide on that day.
His "usual" is a 6inch Ham & Provolone Cheese sub (yes he will eat the whole thing over the course of a few hours) with only mayo on it and an extra pickle. Usually they'll give him a few extra pickles if he gives them a little smile.
Thursdays are delicious!!!

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Just a couple of guys, hanging out playing video games.
Of course Preston's "controller" is really just the tv remote, but he doesn't care!

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Today was Patrick's birthday!!
Preston loves celebrations that include ice cream.

Monday, May 16, 2011

Preston's always happy when we get a visit from John, Rox and Noah.
He's so handsome!

Sunday, May 15, 2011

We met in our new church building today.
Preston made sure to leave plenty of fingerprints behind.
And of course no matter where he goes the girls flock to him.

Finding decorations for Preston's Mario room isn't so easy.
So when we see something we snatch it up.
He previously had the Yoshi and Toad dolls (collectibles? stuffed animals?) and when we saw Mario and Luigi today we had to get them.
Sorry the picture is blurry, as soon as I would put all of them in his lap he would throw them off as fast as he could.

Blogger was down yesterday so I didn't get to post these cute pictures of us going to feed the ducks.

It was the first time that Preston was able to understand he was suppose to throw the bread to the ducks. When they would eat it he would giggle in happiness.
Then some enormous geese showed up and I wont lie, I was a little worried they would mistake his toes for bread, but it turned out ok.

The pear tomatoes in our garden are starting to ripen!
I'm so so happy that Preston loves to eat them. Especially since he doesn't normally like tomatoes.
Maybe it's just the excitement of being outside & getting to eat something that we just picked or maybe it's because they are delicious.
Whatever the reason, it makes me happy!

ignore the chocolate ice cream around his mouth. . .

Preston has been finding ways to stay busy today....
And by stay busy I mean get into trouble!

Earlier today he decided to cool off in the dog's water dish.

Then after getting him cleaned up from that I walked in to get him up from his nap and found this:

Other undocumented incidents from today include standing on chairs to switch lights on and off, chasing after the dog with his school bus, emptying the dvd shelves, throwing his sippy cup into the turtles cage, and now he's headed towards the bathroom with his shoes in his hands!
This boy is keeping us on our toes!

Monday, May 9, 2011

I don't know if I ever made a formal announcement that Preston is finally walking.
He has been for the past few weeks, and he's getting pretty fast!
Soon he'll be a runner.

Sunday, May 8, 2011

Happy Mothers Day!!!
Being a mom is better then I ever dreamed it could be.
Probably because I've got such a sweet kid.
I couldn't be more blessed.

Saturday, May 7, 2011

Oh Preston.... You have got STYLE!!!

Friday, May 6, 2011

Confession. I forgot to take a picture of Preston today.
BUT when Krissa was over earlier Preston was playing with her phone (and sunglasses and salsa and water bottle and purse) and managed to snap a self portrait.
Makes me want to pinch his cheeks.

Thursday, May 5, 2011

If the back of his hair gets any longer we're gonna be able to braid it!
I just can't bring myself to cut it.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

I wanted to take Preston back to the zoo before it becomes a place to avoid this summer when it's super hot, and since today was the last day before we hit triple digits we decided to go.

His favorite thing was the monkeys. They have a monkey exhibit where you can walk around with uncaged monkeys while they hang out in the tree's and climb ropes. Preston got the biggest kick out of watching them swing around. The rest of the day he was trying to make "o-o-ah-ah" monkey noises.

He loved the petting zoo where he could pet the goats.

And it surprised me that he really liked to play in the kids water fountain play area. He isn't normally a fan of water sprinkling down on him, but I think having other kids screaming and running around made him more comfortable.
After we got all wet we had an early lunch and then went home.

We were both really worn out. Preston was asleep before we even left the parking lot.
I'm already looking forward to taking him back someday.

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Since Preston isn't big on eating meat we're trying to get him to eat more peanut butter to get some protein in him.
If I give him peanut butter on a cracker he's more interested in having the dog lick it off his fingers so today I gave him a little spoon full of peanut butter.
Needless to say he loved it and didn't want to share any of it with the dog.

And now an announcement from Preston. . . .

YEP. Preston is going to be a big brother. And a great one at that!

Sunday, May 1, 2011

Today we came home to our happy little Preston.
It was so good to see him after being gone for the weekend.
I think he missed us.
Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of him from the weekend.

But here is a picture from today.
We celebrated my birthday with family, and Preston looked in amazement at my donut cake and gazillion candles.
