Today we went to a "Splash and Play" event at the library. They had little buckets set up in the courtyard with different things to play with in water like spoons, paintbrushes, watering cans, spoons and measuring cups. Preston had a great time pouring water out. He was a little unsure of all the other kids there, and it took him about 30 minutes to warm up to the idea that he could play by himself without needing me to be there, but he still had a good time!

I love when Preston does little boy things like turn the slide into a fort & car track.

Today we got out some lace up cards to play with.
It took us about 30 minutes to get 3/4ths of the way done with one before he lost interest.
I'm thinking it'll be a great activity to take to church.

Preston and I made some cookies today.
I showed him how he could look in the oven and watch the cookies bake & he loved that idea!

Preston thought he was so clever "hiding" from me in my closet while I put laundry away!

It's nice to know that even with a big belly I can still cuddle with my Preston.

Betcha wish you had a Go Daddy do-rag too, huh?!

Today we met up with Preston's cousins and Aunt to go to the AJ Public Library.
That place is AMAZING for kids.
We'll be going back.
Preston loved running around the giant castle with the kids & climbing in the throne.
We'll be going back for sure.

Preston discovered where we keep the grapes in the fridge, so now every time I open the fridge he wants to get some grapes out.
I'm ok with it.
It's better then figuring out where the Otter Pops are.

Just looking at them makes me wish we were back up there relaxing!

We used our Groupon to go to Sea Life Arizona today.
Since Preston was walking/running around this time as opposed to sitting in his stroller it took us only about 30 minutes to get through the whole aquarium, but he enjoyed himself.

The stingrays & sharks took special interest in him & whenever he would lean up against the glass they would swarm over to where he was. Pretty sure they wanted to eat him.

Afterwords we had lunch at Johnny Rockets (delicious!) where it was confirmed that when Preston is hungry he gets just as cranky as we do.

We're trying to teach Preston early about doing chores. He already has some that he is responsible for such as holding the dust pan when I sweep, helping to unload the dishwasher (handing me the cups & putting away the tupperware), switching the laundry from the washer to the dryer and of course helping with dinner.

Today I decided to show him what washing dishes was all about.
Needless to say he enjoyed it a little too much!
Took about twice as long as it would have if I had done it myself, but he was having such a good time helping that it was worth it.

Preston's new favorite thing to do is sit on the counter while I make dinner.
He may love this more then vacuuming.
He always wants to help stir, or taste things.
Sometimes it's not so great though. Like when he stuck his finger into a bowl of old grease & then ate it.
Thank goodness we had some Tootsie Rolls on hand to help get that taste out of his mouth.

p.s check out his lips! So cute!!

I couldn't for the life of me get Preston to wear this hat when it was his birthday.
But now every time he see's it he wants to put it on.

p.s we went camping this weekend (hence the reason for no posts), but the in-laws took the pictures, and they wont be home for a few days. So eventually I'll put those up.
