Preston had to go to the doctor this morning(more on that at the bottom of the post), but in return got to pick a sucker out to take home. His first sucker! It was grape flavored and he loved it.
Once he was done with it he decided to share the rest with Jack.
So a few weeks ago when Preston had his 1yr appt I mentioned to the doctor that he had never fully gotten rid of his cough from when he had croup in the beginning of December. He prescribed some Singulair and said if it wasn't better in 2 weeks to come back. I thought he was getting better, but within the past few days it's back to how it was- a dry unproductive cough that keeps him & his mama up at night. So today we went back to the doctor and he listened for a long time to Preston's lungs. He says they seem clear, less wheezing then a few weeks ago unless he gets excited or agitated in which case you can hear something going on. His ears are clear, he has no fever and so he said it could be 2 different things. One, a sinus infection where the cough is from the mucus draining and irritating his throat, but since his mucus is clear, there is no fever, and his ears are not infected so he's thinking it might be more allergy related (especially since under his eyes are dark and wrinkled which I guess is a sign of allergies). We decided to try at first to treat it as a sinus infection, so we got more antibiotics & if it's not better in 10 days he will give us a referral to see an allergist who can hopefully help us figure this out.
